Generally F&amp;B production units need a VOC free flooring. When installing in an F&amp;B unit, ask for a VOC free Epoxy variation.

The joints need to be filles, cracks need to repaired and the stone needs to made slightly rough before coating with Epoxy to get better adhesion. Also, the floor needs to be free from any moisture, oil or lubricants.

Can epoxy flooring be applied over Kota stone Flooring?

Epoxy floors typically take 24-72 hours to cure before they can handle light foot traffic. Full curing, which allows for heavy machinery or vehicles, can take 7-10 days depending on temperature and humidity conditions.

Epoxy floors can be slippery when wet, but anti-slip additives can be mixed into the epoxy to create a non-slip surface, making it safer in areas prone to moisture, such as garages or commercial kitchens.
